You Are Not Here was a wayfinding and curatorial project for the Future Everything festival in Manchester. We were appointed to develop innovative ways to direct delegates around the site for the duration of the festival in a sustainable and cost effective way.

We used recycled materials from the empty offices to provide signage and navigation to the various exhibits and conferences. These included:

• Carpet tiles as external flooring wrapping into and over wall surfaces

• Filing cabinets as used as planters.

• Leftover pin boards to provide signage to different activities at the same time allowing the citizens to leave messages for each other.

• Low cost / low powered vibration speakers fixed to discarded desks, dotted about the city allow them to communicate to the public via pre recorded messages.

• Old shelves as book exchanges with the public encouraged to deposit belongings in exchange for items left by others.
