NKA have recently completed the remodel and extension of a basement maisonette in Mile End, East London. The dwelling has been completely refurbished, with living accommodation located in the the basement and bedrooms on the raised ground floor. Daylight now streams into the lower level reflecting off the polished concrete floor.
Our design provides dedicated secure cycle storage in the courtyard fininshed in a stripy cedar and metal finish.

Full width bi-fold doors connect the garden to the interior.
The old meets the new with original parts of the building preserved.
Laminated birch ply units and a bright yellow glass splashback give a fresh feel to the basement kitchen.
